How to play CLASSIC

Use each guess to get closer to today's secret movie.

Objective

Find the secret movie in as few guesses as possible and share your emoji grid when you win.

How each round works

  1. Search for a movie and submit your guess.
  2. Read the color hints in each column — genres, cast, directors, studios, budget, and year.
  3. Refine your next guess until every field turns green.

Color hints

Green

Exact match in that field. Example: your guess shares the same lead actor or the same release year as the answer.

Yellow

Partial match or direction hint. Example: shares one genre but not all, or an actor is in the film but not as the lead.

Red

No relevant match. Example: none of your guess's genres overlap, or the director is completely different.

Budget and release arrows

Up arrow: the secret value is higher. Example: you guessed $80M budget, but the film cost more.

Down arrow: the secret value is lower. Example: you guessed 2019, but the film came out earlier.

Green with no arrow: exact value. Example: your budget or release year matches perfectly.
